We got into a little rain shower just as we were going by Calumet Harbor so we hung out doing circles (except Sue steered a figure-8 just for fun) outside Hammond Marina waiting for the shower to pass. By 2:15pm we were at the fuel dock. After fueling, the port engine wouldn’t start – ugh! While Brian investigated, Sue and Bo decided to go for a walk but the gas dock is attached to the Port Authority so we couldn’t leave the dock. Ugh! Fortunately, Bo wasn’t desperate to get to grass so we didn’t panic. What Brian found was a finicky gear shift lever that wouldn’t go completely into neutral. After he resolved the issue, Sue & Bo got back on the boat. Silly Bo didn’t wait for Sue to get all the way on, so they both ended up lying in the well outside the starboard lower helm door. Thankfully, they didn’t end up in the water and even better - there is no picture! Finally to X-dock around 3:00. That’s correct: “X” dock as in A-Z – it is a looooong walk to the shore, which is also the corner of the Horseshoe Casino garage. (see picture) Bo was just happy to finally see grass!
